BODY POSITIVITY
For many years I've been struggling
with my body,
The way I look
The way I see myself.
There are a lot of time when you're low
and you blame all that to your body.
You stop eating
You starve
you push yourself to an extend
where you start hurting yourself.
Being body positive is not
about having the perfect figure
to inspire people or just to feel good about your body.
It's about just being yourself, The way you are .
Everybody is different,
Their bodies, their shape, their sizes
everything,
that's what makes us unique
and every body is beautiful.
There's no harm going to a gym or
aspiring to be fit,
but if that leaves you in a hole
starving and degrading yourself,
then whatever you'll do
you won't ever be satisfied with yourself.
Being body positive is actually being positive about yourself,
About your size, shape and everything that you own.
In this quarantine I decided working out
and this is the only thing that I'm dedicated to.
I've been running miles
sweating my pants off,
I left eating sugar and rice
and was too conscious about what calories I was in taking.
All I used to do was to scroll on my instagram
reading about weight loss, keto's and portions.
And one fine day when I stood on my weighing machine
I saw that I weigh same what I did 2 months ago!!
I was so demotivated, I felt like giving away all
I was doing so far.
But then I realized something which I think
You'll should know if you're facing or going through same issues
and it is that:
Even if I did not see my weight going down
I felt happy about my body,
I feel light and Fit
And moreover i feel loose with my clothes.
And that's all that matters
You yourself should see the change.
Being fit is important physically and mentally too.
That's what being Body Positive is.
You have to accept yourself
the way you are built,
Just like your bones weigh different
Your life works different than other's too.
So being inspired by famous celebrities and
following their meal plans won't make you
like them
Because their bodies, life patterns and eating habits
are way different than yours,
And you just have to accept it.
Everything is about a perspective
on how you feel about yourself.
You've got to be comfortable in being your self.
Don't distract yourself from being motivated,
there's very thin line to de-motivation.
Your mantra should be very simple:
You slayyy
Whichever wayyyyy
Babayyy~
