TO MY CLASS OF 2020
TO MY CLASS OF 2020
starting from the broken aspirations
I am one of you.
And I am so proud of you all!
For the courage that you've shown
by full filling and ending your own chapters,
it takes hell lot of guts do to it.
Wearing a saree getting yourself clicked in quarantine
or by making vlogs of your journeys and watching it on loops
or video conferencing your last class on zoom
or by having the meets limited to google meets,
you all have acted so brave and
I being one of you am so proud
That we did this too.
The start was smooth
we already had our things planned
to our ending the journey with a bang,
With every year that passed
us bidding goodbyes to our seniors
it did broke our heart
but you've to agree, it also tickled us with a thought
of us being on the other side
and getting a better poolside party!
But it did not end up like that...
Our investment to the best part of our life
had no ending
it is all open...
To all the work, the experience, the memories
that we built together
have no full stops...
Our college have showed us
all that we wanted to,
Elections, Protests, Fests, Parades, Marchs
From parties to trying all 'the new stuff"
to being a sober to addictive
and finally being a spoiled to an awaken adult.
It was hell of a journey.
Bunking classes to sit in the seminar hall
or just sitting for hours in the canteen to eat chowmein samosa
or by loitering at tapri
We grew every year,
We learned something new.
We made family, some in societies and some in class.
The funny part is that we cribbed
about the campus so much,
and now we miss it the most.
Amphi, sunny, our padhosi and of course Shri ram.
It's been an amazing 3 years of my life
I know we did not got what we expected
but definitely got much more than that,
Memories.
Friends who've become our families
and the confidence to become
and do whatever we can.
We all have something special waiting for us,
Chapters that have no ending
have the best ending because
they get the best sequels.
Maybe 2020 is not the year
to celebrate our ''farewell",
might be we'll celebrate our lives forever..
Because in this 3 years
I've seen people transforming
becoming Independent
Earning and giving their own college fees,
Performing in front of hundreds
and going for TedTalks.
We are and always will be a batch of 2020
who was so self sufficient and
capable for writing their own stories and
show the world who they really are!
No Farewells
But Kudos to your Future
You Writers!
